Decisions - A part of the process

The house we'll endeavor to make a home. The car -1988 only 59,000 miles and very clean - a good car for the boys to learn how to drive.Click on the image to view a larger one.

Furlough means questions and decisions. If you have been following the trail of our lives you know that we are embarking on a new phase. We have a high school graduate and three teenagers in the USA (two of which are eligible to drive!). We have been asking ourselves many questions. Where are we going to live? Will we be able to furnish a house? Where are Grant & Lindsay going to go to school? What vehicle are we going to use to teach the boys how to drive? Do we really need more than one cell phone in our home? Where will Jordan work? What will Jordan decide to do in the future?

We tried our best to seek answers to the questions but it seemed each question was dependent on the other and we had no clear conclusions! However, when the Lord shoots off the "start gun", He always has things lined up for the race. We can attest to that fact again. The Lord clarified to us that we could stay in Pittsburg. As of this writing house, school, car, phone, work ...all settled. Furniture is coming together and Jordan is enjoying the present with an eye on the future. One domino fell onto another to where it all fell into place nicely. We look forward to settling into a more normal routine and getting a little more organized in the days ahead. Living out of duffle bags and cardboard boxes is okay for a short time but we are anxious to nest down into a more permanent existence.

Prayer Needs

• We know that life in America tends toward great activity. Some of this we have looked forward to. Some of it we have not. -Pray we can determine the proper balance in our family's activities yet still maintain the peaceful home that we desire.
• Pray for our family as we continue to adjust in the USA. The adjustment is more difficult than one might expect.
• Grant's health continues to improve. He still needs to gain about 25 lbs of his weight back. Pray he will continue to make progress.
• The Malaumanda church still needs your prayers to grow and mature in the Lord. Translation and teaching continues.
• Numonohi Christian Academy has gotten underway for the 05-06 year. Some urgent staff needs are vacant. Pray for those involved in the care and education of missionary kids.
• Many tribal groups are involved in groundbreaking teaching of the Bible. Many others need to be reached. Pray for the manpower and energy needed in this task.
