This month we will both be involved in the spiritual emphasis weekend at
Numonohi Christian Academy as cabin leaders. This weekend is the closest
thing that these kids will get to a camp type experience. Cabins, dining
hall eating, games, singing and of course teaching and challenges from the
Bible. Jeff has been involved in planning the event. The sessions and
theme will center around teen issues but will be directed specifically to
the needs of Missionary Kids. This is often the highlight of the year for
many of these students. Pray that the Lord's Word would clearly penetrate
the lives of all involved. Of course we are praying for a fun time but
more importantly that this time will be a stepping stone in the molding of
this generation of teens. Pray for safety in travel and in the activities of
the weekend.
Open House!
Because of Grant's health concerns we have moved out of the dorm and into a
house on the mission center. It has been quite an adjustment and we are
still settling into the new role and location. Jeff will continue to
oversee the dorm ministry at the school but will be taking on other areas of
service in the school as well. We are confident, however, our home will
always be open to the local teens!
Latest Prayer Needs
- Pray for the kids who will be attending the S.E.W. this year. The
potential is great for the Lord to work mightily in their lives.
- At this printing Grant is doing well and back to functioning normally. In
September his visit to the doctor in Cairns, Australia was encouraging.
Pray for the Lord to completely heal his body.
- Pray for our family. The move out of the dorm was difficult for all of us.
We will all be adjusting to functioning differently as a result of this
transition.
- Pray for our dorm kids. The Lord led the parents of one family to take the
dorm for the remainder of the year. The next few weeks will be important in
the adjustment process.
